We have lost our beloved Physics teacher, Mr. Leung Kai-wing
in the evening of 8th February!
updated on 16 Feb 2009

Mr. Leung Kai-wing, our teacher from 1995 to 2009, left us in the evening of 8th February, 2009, with his wife and children around him due to rheumatic heart disease that had given him lots of troubles since 1999. While we are mourning for the loss of Mr. Leung, we will remember Mr. Leung as a good and dedicated teacher, who was always willing to give extra care and time to his students.

After obtaining his degree in physics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and then Postgraduate Certificate of Education from the University of Hong Kong, Mr. Leung started his teaching career in 1987. Since 1995, Mr. Leung had taught Form 4-7 physics in Wah Yan, and he was the Form-teacher of Form 6 or 7 science classes for many years. He also served as a discipline teacher between 1997 and 2004, helped in the timetabling as well as the establishment of the information technology infrastructure in the campus and led the Fencing Team. Mr. Leung was always serious about his work and very patient with his students to ensure that they could obtain the best possible results in public examinations.

Mr. Leung devoted most of his life as a teacher to educating our Wahyanites. We will remember Mr. Leung and pray for him to rest in the arms of our Almight God. We will also remember his family members and try our best to help Mrs. Leung to look after the two children, one aged 5 and the other 7. As Mr. Leung was the only income source of his family, with the agreement of Mrs. Leung, we welcome any financial assistance to his faimily and if you wish you could write a crossed cheque to Mrs. Leung, made payable to "Chan Man Fong". There will be a collection box at the Reception starting 10th February and we will forward the money collected to Mrs. Leung. There will also be a condolence corner outside the Chapel up to the day before Mr. Leung's funeral ceremony v next to the Chapel.

Please also include Mr. Leung in your prayer, and May Mr. Leung rest in peace.
