1926
- Scouting began in Wah Yan College. The Scout Troop was registered as the 28th Hong Kong (Wah Yan) Troop. Later in the year, the Troop was re-registered as the 15th Hong Kong (Wah Yan) Troop.
1932
- The Rover Crew was formed.
1938
- The Troop had made steady progress, and the strength increased to four patrols with one Rover Crew.
1941
- Scout activities were suspended in December due to the War.
1946
- Scouting resumed in Wah Yan on 16th April with the formation of the 15th Hong Kong Group (Wah Yan College). There were five troops with some 180 Scouts in 21 patrols, the biggest Group at that time.
1949
- The Senior Scout Troop was formed in June.
1951
- Ho Shiu Hay and Chan Kwok Chak (Senior Scout) were awarded the Gilt Cross of Gallantry, presented by the Governor, for their bravery in saving a child in a squatter fire.
- Ho Shiu Hay represented our group in the 7th World Scout Jamboree in Austria.
1952
- The Senior Sea Scout Troop was formed on 5th September.
- Five members of the Group attended the Pan-Pacific Jamboree in Australia.
1953
- The Cub Pack was formed in March.
1955
- With the move of the College from Robinson Road to Mt. Parish, the Group was transferred from Victoria District to Wongneichong District.
- Our Sea Scouts won the championship in the first Colony Sea Scouts Regatta.
1957
- A combined camp, known as the Wah Yan Scout Camp, with the 11th Kowloon Group of Wah Yan College Kowloon, was held in Stanley.
- The Group presented the 1st Wah Yan Scout Week with the 1st Wah Yan Scout Show.
- In October, 48 scouts attended the 1st Colony Jamborette at Kam Chien Village.
1958
- The Old Scout Troop was formed on 2nd March.
- The Group presented the 2nd Wah Yan Scout Show.
1959
- Members of the Group participated in the 10th World Scout Jamboree in the Philippines.
1961
- As a result of the formation of more districts, our Group was now under the Eastern District, H.K.I. Area.
- The Cub Pack was closed because the College had discontinued the primary classes.
- The Group participated in the Jubilee Jamboree in Kowloon Tsai Park in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Hong Kong Scouting.
1962
- The Old Scout Troop was officially registered with the London Headquarters as the 15th Hong Kong Group Branch of the B.P. Scout Guild of London. This was the first branch in Hong Kong.
1963
- The standard of scoutcraft in the Group was very high. We took part in various competitions, and the results were most promising:
  1. District Inter-Scout Troops Competition - we got First
  2. Area Senior Pioneering Competition - we got Second
  3. Area Scouts Cooking Competition - we got First
  4. Colony Carlton Trophy Competition - we got Second
- The Sea Scout Section of the Group was closed.
1965
- The Group presented the 2nd Wah Yan Scout Week.
1966
- A special camp was jointly organized by the 1st HKG, 2nd HKG, 36th HKG, 66th HKG and 15th HKG from 29th July to 1st August at Kam Tsin Village.
1967
- Our Group took part in the Catholic Youth Fiesta, and erected a tower of 20 feet high.
- Wah Yan Venture Scout was formed on 1st February with special permission from the Colony Headquarters. This was the first Venture Scout Unit in Hong Kong.
1969
- The Venture Unit participated in the HKI Senior Scout Camporee at Kam Tsin Village on 18-20 October. Our display on the Talent Night was judged as one of the best five, and a shield was awarded to the Unit.
1970
- By request from the Regional Headquarters, six members and VSL Mr Geoffrey O'Young appeared on TVB on 26th October, and gave a demonstration lasting for about 3 minutes.
- Old scout Mr Stephen Ching was appointed the District Commissioner of the Saukeiwan District and Causeway Bay District in the 70's.
1971
- The Pun U Association Wah Yan Primary School was opened in September, and the Group started a Cub Pack again, after a lapse of eleven year.
- The Cub Scouts Inauguration Ceremony and the Group's 45th Anniversary was held on the 19th December in the school hall.
- Our Group Scarf was officially altered with the addition of the school badge on the tip of our scarf.
- The Group participated in the Hong Kong Diamond Jubilee Jamboree at Castle Peak in celebration of the 60th Anniversary of Hong Kong Scouting.
- Old scout Mr Mak Hing Cheung was appointed the Regional Commissioner of HKIR till 1973.
1972
- The Group participated in Talent Quiz, a function jointly organized by the 5th HKSSG, 14th HKG, 15th HKG, 40th HKG and 64th HKG, all of the Eastern District.
1974
- Old scout Mr Sze (施克然) was appointed the Regional Commissioner of HKIR till 1984.
- Past GSL Mr Geoffrey O'Young was appointed the Deputy Regional Commissioner (Liaison) of HKIR till 1988.
1975
- 1976 was the 50th year of the Group, hence a Grand Dinner for all former scouts of Wah Yan and the 3rd Wah Yan Scout Show in November were put up as celebration programs.
1976
- The Cub scouts took part in various competitions ran by the District, the Region and the Association Headquarters, all with very satisfactory result.
1979
- Past GSL Mr Geoffrey O'Young was appointed the Deputy Chief Commissioner till 1984.
1981
- Venture Ball Le Premiere was organized during the summer holidays, which attracted over a hundred participants.
1982
- The Scout Troop took part in the Carlton Trophy Competition and came first, third in the District and Regional Competition. Finally we came first in the Colony Competition.
1985
- Old Scout Mr. Chau Cham Son, JP was appointed the Chief Commissioner till 1992, and from 1993-96.
1986
- The Group celebrated its 60th Anniversary at Tai Tam Scout Center with 216 participants, including Scout members, parents, old scouts and their families. They enjoyed themselves in games, lucky draw, open air buffet dinner and a grand campfire.
- The Group participated in the Diamond Jubilee Jamboree (28.12.86 - 2.1.87) at Sai Kung in celebration of the 75th Anniversary of Hong Kong Scouting.
1988
- The Troop participated in the Carlton Trophy Competition and came first in the District, Regional Competition and won the championship in the Colony Competition the second time.
1989
- About 50 participants from 10th HKI Company, 97th HKI Company and our Venture Scout Unit joined in a project dubbed Restore to Green. They turned out to be the winners of the South China Morning Post and the Duty Free Shoppers' Environmental Award Scheme.
- The Cub Pack was invited to take part in RTHK production - a TV story This is How I Grow Up which was about the development of a child, with special emphasis on cub scouting.
1990
- The Scout Troop thirdly won the championship in the Carlton Trophy Competition. Before that, we had came first in both District and Regional Competition.
- Our Chief Commissioner Mr. Chau Cham Son received the Bronze Wolf Award which is the highest award presented by the World Scout Bureau.
- Old scout Mr Lee (李銓標) was appointed the Chairman of the SAHK Executive Committee till 1994.
1991
- Scout Ho Wai Ip was selected to participate in the Japan National Jambilee Agoonoree held between July 15 and 30.
- Scout Cheng Chun Wang was selected to participate the 17th World Scout Jambilee in Korea between August 8 and 16.
- Venture Scouts Fung Man Hoi and Li Siu Hung was selected the Student of the Year. Li was also selected the Student Ambassador to represent the Wah Yan Past Student Association to visit the Alumni in England and Singapore.
1992
- The Scout Troop fourthly, the third consecutive year, won the championship in the Carlton Trophy Competition. We had come first and second in the District Competition and first in the Regional Competition.
- The Cub Scout Pack won the championship of the Chief Commissioner's Shield.
1994
- The Scout Troop fifthly, the fourth in a row, won the championship in the Carlton Trophy Competition. We had come first and second in the District Competition and first in the Regional Competition.
- Past GSL Mr Philip Ching was appointed the Chairman of the SAHK Executive Committee till 1999.
- Our ACSL Ms Stella Fung was appointed the District Commissioner of the Eastern District (and later Wanchai District) till 1999.
- Old scout Mr Michael Suen Ming-yeung was appointed the Chairman of FOS Executive Committee till 1998.
1995
- The experimental XVHK website was launched by Joseph Fung at the Iowa State University on 15th March. As the first-ever Scout Group in Hong Kong to have web connection to the Internet community, our Group aspired to be the premier Scout Group in Hong Kong.
- Our group sold 60,000 raffle tickets and raised $300,000 for the SAHK, setting the highest raffle sales record for a single group.
- Three scouts participated in the 18th World Scout Jamboree in Holland.
- Venture Scout Ho Wai Ip was selected the first Scout of the Year of our Group. Ho represented the Group to visit old scouts in Australia.
1996
- The Scout Troop won the Carlton Trophy Competition championship fifth time in a row.
- The Group celebrated its 70th Anniversary with a grand dinner at Gordon Wu Hall with over 300 guests, and an oversea trip to Malaysia with over 150 participants.
- Venture Scout Kenneth Lam Kar Yan was selected Scout Ambassador of our Group. Lam represented the Group to visit old scouts in Vancouver, Canada.
1997
- On January 1, Albert Law took over maintenance of the website and moved it to the server at the University of Michigan.
1998
- Due to the increase in enrolment, the Scout Troop split into A & B troops.
- Past GSL Mr Jerome Cheng was appointed Assistant Regional Commissioner till 1999.
1999
- The Rover Crew re-started.
- Our School Teacher Victor Ng took over maintenance of the website and moved it to hkcampus.net server in Hong Kong. Later in the same year, Michael Lam Chi Wai redesigned the website, whereas Michael Sy provided the permanent website address of xvhk.wahyan.net
- Our ACSL Ms Stella Fung was appointed the Deputy Regional Commissioner (Training and Development) of HKIR.
- Venture scout Justin Kwok was selected as Scout of the Year by the SAHK.
- Venture scouts Li Can Yuan and Terence Tong Yee Hong were selected the Scout Ambassadors of our Group.
2000
- The Cub Scout Pack won the Chief Commissioner's Shield.
2002
- Philip Wong and Michael Sy, SLs of the Scout Troop A & B, represented the Group to participate in the 5-day Asia-Pacific Region Unit Leaders' Roundtable at Gilwell Campsite.
- Number of scout troop leaders dropped, while troop members registered 105, the highest in recent decades.
2003
- The Cub Scout Pack won the Chief Commissioner's Shield second time in a row.
- Led by Philip Wong Sai Ying, SL, 21 scouts participated in the 20th World Scout Jamboree in Thailand.
- The SARS outbreak forced many activities to be postponed or cancelled. Overall hygiene awareness was raised as a result.
- Old boy Mr Justice Patrick Chan, Permanent Judge of the Court of Final Appeal of Hong Kong, was appointed the Chairman of the SAHK.
2004
- The Scout Troop captured the Carlton Trophy Championship again. With changed competition duration, we spent a total of 9 months on (almost) daily bases from first day of training to final day of competition, drawing help from over 30 old scouts in the process.
- The B.P. Club reformed and organized members into 7 troops: 15 (scouters), 45 ('40-'50), '60, '70, '80, '90, and '00.
2005
- The Cub Scout Pack won the Chief Commissioner's Shield third time in a row.
- Led by Ms Stella Fung, DRC, and Stephen Tse, AGSL, 12 scouts joined an eight-day cultural exchange trip to Tien Shan , in Xin Jiang province of China.
2006
- With generous donation from old scout Mr. Hugo Hung, the expanded and renovated Hugo Hung Scout Center opened.
- The Group celebrated its 80th Anniversary with a grand dinner at the HKCEC on 15th October.
2007
- To further celebrate our 80th Anniversary, 84 cubs, scouts and ventures finished the Standard Chartered Marathon 10km run.
- The Cub Scout Pack won the Chief Commissioner's Shield fourth time in a row, a record in the history of the competition.
- Led by Philip Wong Sai Ying, SL, and Eric Chow, ASL, 7 ventures and 21 scouts participated in the 21th World Scout Jamboree in England. There were also 8 IST members participated.
2008
- The scout troop once again won the Carlton Trophy Championship.
2009
- The cub pack won the Chief Commissioner's Shield fifth time in a row, which even the consecutive winning records we set in Carlton Trophy thirteen years ago.
